This script was written by Eric Roulo, it exports to excel mass data by group. Currently, the script is in beta, but is included in the standard FEMAP API suite from engineeringtools.org.
The script processes each group selected and reports its mass properties in a human-readable format. It is meant to aid in model verification of mass properties and help compute appropriate non-structural mass (NSM) to get the FEM mass to match design mass properties.
Future Work: A point mass model is in development to aid in trade studies for systems that are sensitive to CG location like satellites or steering mechanisms.
