Group Rigid Center Nodes

Description:

This script will create a group the center nodes of rigids. 

 

Use Instructions:


Run the tool, select rigids to consider. Note* If I don't have a sub set I'm interested in, I just "select all". The script will not consider elements that are not rigids, so its ok to select shells, or solids etc also.


Requirements:

A model with rigid elements.

 

Notes & Example:

This script can be useful when connecting rigids inside solid elements hole locations with cbush. My workflow would be:

  1. run spider nodes to make the rigids
  2. run group rigid center nodes
  3. run cbush connect points nodes
  4. use cbush forces to excel, and or update cbush (pbush) Ks to blast the appropriate stiffness to the cbush
