Use Instructions:

To use this tool enter the engineeringtools toolbar, enter the "geometry" section, and select "make lines or spline from points or nodes."

You will be prompted to select a mode

You can choose to create either lines or a spline from a set of either points or nodes.

After making your selection click "ok". You will them be prompted to provide a set of points or nodes from which to create the lines or splines

Currently, the script is in beta, but is included in the standard FEMAP API suite from engineeringtools.org.
