RBE DOF Updater Script Author: Ian Rivard
Description: This script provides the user a powerful way to quickly control the degrees of freedom on RBE2 and RBE3 elements individually or in batch.

First select the type of MPCs you want to update RBE2s, RBE3s or both then select the degree of freedoms you want to apply, and for the RBE3 set the weight. after clicking OK, the script will prompt the user for what elements to process. You can use the selection box to pick the ones you want, if you pick elements that are not rigid type elements it is OK, they will simply be skipped. This is a fast an efficient way to manage your DOFs on your RBEs. It is important to remember the DOF is tied to the nodal analysis coordinate frame.
How this is useful: This tool allows you to modify your RBEs in large batches quickly. The alternative is manually editing the RBEs. Manually you can simply edit the RBE2 or RBE3 element by selecting modify > edit > element and you will see something similar to the following for RBE2 and RBE3 respectively: |

Notes: Currently, the script is in beta, but is included in the standard FEMAP API suite from engineeringtools.org.
