List Coordinate System Info Author: Ian Rivard
Description: This script will list out coordinate system info to excel. It includes the coordinate system ID, Title, origin, rotations, definition coordinate system, the 3x3 cosine matrix and for rectangular coordinate systems a bulk deck entry in long format for the coordinate system. The cosine matrix can be super helpful when transforming loads. Cbush forces to excel, and RBE MPC Freebody summary use this to allow on the fly transforms of freebody loads to any coordinate frame. Saving the bulk deck card for the coordinate frame is also useful for audit / checking purposes if you want to reproduce exactly a section cut, or load summary having the post processing coordinate frame is a big time saver. In my workflow I often create an include bulk deck with Export Groups to bulk deck of the coordinate systems that are not required in the analysis, but can be helpful in model review, audit etc.
Use Instructions: Run the script, and follow the prompts.
Requirements: An open model with at least one coordinate system in it.
